Assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, co-founder of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the paramilitary wing of the Islamist Palestinian group Hamas, was assassinated on 19 January, 2010 in a hotel room in Dubai.^[1] The assassination attracted international attention over suspicions that it was sanctioned by the Israeli government and carried out by Mossad agents holding fake or fraudulently obtained passports of several European countries.^[2]
